The Thunderhawk Band Program is Prairie View High School’s very own band program. The Thunderhawk Band Program consists of programs dedicated to educating students in various aspects of the performing arts including concert music, jazz and the pageantry arts. Our goal is not simply to produce music. Our aim is to produce human beings who can understand and appreciate all elements of music and performance. In addition to a well rounded music education, students learn important life skills including teamwork, hard work, dedication, sportsmanship and civility.
