Raistlynn Baros | Visual Instructor

Raistlynn Baros is a Prairie View High School alumna, and a current senior in mechanical engineering with a minor in aerospace engineering at the Colorado School of Mines. Her time in professional marching programs includes two years with the Battalion Drum and Bugle Corps trumpet section, and one year with Rise Percussion as a visual performer. Raistlynn is honored to return for her fourth year on staff, and is excited to see what this year has in store for the program.

Jamal Blasingale | Percussion Instructor

My name is Jamal and I have been an active member of the Colorado marching arts community since 2014. I am proud to enter my 4th year as a percussion instructor, now with the Thunderhawk Pride Marching Band!

My performance background includes the Blue Knights Percussion Ensemble (2018, 2019 & 2020) and the University of Northern Colorado’s – Pride of the Rockies Marching Band, where I completed a degree in Business and Marketing. I have also previously taught at Broomfield High School, Windsor High School and the Blue Knights Open indoor percussion ensemble.

Ryan Dupuis | Brass Caption Head

Ryan Dupuis is in his fourth year on staff with the Thunderhawk Pride Marching Band. Ryan holds degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelors in Music Education, and from Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. Ryan was recently promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant in the Colorado National Guard, and is an active performer in the 101st Army Band along with various ensembles at Adams State college. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys working out, building lego sets and spending time with his family.

Sage Gehr | Visual Caption Head

Sage is from Boulder Colorado, and graduated from CU Boulder with a B.A. in music with a minor in education. Sage has marched with professional organizations including the Sacramento Mandarins, and the Oregon Crusaders. They have also studied contemporary dance, hip-hop, African dance, and ballet through the University of Colorado Boulder’s Theatre and Dance department. 

Currently, Sage is pursuing a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Colorado Denver. In their (limited) spare time, Sage enjoys performing with the Thorton Big Band, where they also serve as the music librarian. Sage is highly passionate about the connection between movement and music, and is excited to bring it to the field!

Timothy Painter-Wakefield | Co-Winter Percussion Director | Percussion Tech

Tim is very excited for their second season with the Thunderhawk Pride Marching Band! They played xylophone last year for Blue Knight’s Open Percussion Ensemble and are continuing to be involved in the marching world. They are currently in their first year at MSU Denver pursuing a degree in Music Education and are also playing trumpet for Thornton Big Band as well. Tim couldn’t be more excited to see where this program goes!

Evan Williams | Co-Winter Guard Director | Color Guard Instructor

Evan Williams is in his second year working with the Thunderhawk colorguard. He is from Colorado and is currently a student at the University of Northern Colorado studying American Sign Language English Interpretation. Evan has been involved in the colorguard/marching band world for almost ten years including two years with Anesidora independent winter guard. Outside of Colorado he has participated with independent world groups including the Sacramento Mandarins and the Boston Crusaders. Evan is excited to return this year and appreciates the opportunity to show Prairie View how rewarding this team activity can be and the welcoming community that comes with it!
